Venom Laced Jackal Fangs | A Social Justice Poem by Scott Thomas Outlar

Holy Jihad Nation
coming home in pieces
Launch another bomb
in the name of freedom
So many die too young
seeking something pure to believe in
Think they’ve found the truth
but what they bought into was treason

Fat Cat Politician
perched atop the congregation
Enact another crony law
no second thought nor hesitation
Every dollar stuffed in their pocket
is like a knife unto the navel
A thousand small cuts later
look at the bloody mess we’re left in

Screw job by the Black Heart
naught but coal in that chest
Mine it from the mountains
then set the lake on fire
No water in those veins
smells of petroleum jelly
Plastic vampire souls
rape and pillage the city

Rolling into town
here come the snake oil salesmen
Vials full of drugs
they push their synthetic poison
Step right up and see
a mark is born every minute
Preach it to the flock
and find out which fools believe it

The hype machine burns hot
shit spews fast from the presses
Propaganda laced with venom
sent out from corporate jackals
Saliva drips from fangs
they can taste the next victim
A new war set in the scope sight
hair trigger pressure and squeeze it
