Social Justice Poetry

Window | A Social Justice Poem by JD DeHart

And when does the window
close, And when does the soil we have come from spit us back out, And
when does
the glint in the eye become
a dull focus
When do we lose our names
and hopes and settle for
stained life, constantly
opening and shutting doors,
And is it fear that holds us
back
And when does the window
close, tell me again.
