Social Justice Poetry

Marketplaces | A Social Justice Poem by Ananya S. Guha

Religion and politics
are not strange bedfellows
they play a game which miscues hope and, on pavements, the man
is waiting for the next elections, where after the vote there maybe
some peace in the marketplace;
the only questions will be of spiralling market prices
and those damned suicides.
