Social Justice Poetry

Still Here | A Social Justice Poem by JD DeHart

Who knew these lines
were still here, dividing us?
I was just a blind dreamer
who thought the Civil
Rights movement was
a matter of history. It is
then and now. The movement
continues, still pressing,
still needed even this hour.
