Tolerance | A Social Justice Poem by Ananya S. Guha

The debate in this country is tolerance versus intolerance,
in the face of India are the birth places of three religions, what have they emanated out of debaters, pause, think of the mighty Himalayas spreadeagled into a country of vastness;
if you say how tolerant we are then don’t spit at others low or high, caste or non caste, Hindu and Muslim,
history only will tell about the food you are feeding to derelict masses, who need only your daily bread, not your tolerance!

My Nationalism | A Social Justice Poem by Ananya S. Guha

My nationalism is very tepid
not warm like yours
My nationalism is colour blind
not swayed only by white or fair
to many it is unfair
My nationalism is not black and white, it is yellow, just right
My nationalism looks at slums, dirty filthy, debris
not really hubris
My nationalism looks at blood with sorrow
every morrow
But my nationalism is I know not right
when wrestling with might.
